Taking advantage of a rare, beautiful day to break out springtime pieces a bit early:

Vince camuto drapey peasant blouse that has been a staple piece for years. I love the stripe of citron; on its own it isn't a color I love (chartreuse is better for me) but I really enjoy the way it pops amid the emerald and black.

I paired it with my pleather culottes, newer pieces from this year's Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Both the blouse and culottes represent trends and shapes I was really hesitant to try, until I found the right pieces. If you had asked me if I would wear a loose, banded blouse AND wide leather culottes together a few years ago, I'm betting I would have said no.

Now, I'm wanting to wear these culottes often where I might have worn a midi skirt in the past. The culottes have taken a break for most of winter (though I wore them a couple times with tall boots) but came out frequently in fall, mostly with longer, floaty blouses tucked in. This blouse is banded so looks like it's tucked even though it really isn't.

Normally I would wear turquoise pumps with this top and a black bottom, but today I felt like breaking out these Dalmatian print pumps with tassels (another piece that's going on several years old.) They are starting to get rather shabby, though, so I'll be seeking out a replacement. The leopard print pair that's identical to these shoes are in better shape.
