Had a minute to play dress up this afternoon (and bribed my 10 year old to take pics). Tried out the cropped sweater over a straight skirt formula from a couple of days ago.

I don't feel like it worked for me - is the sweater too long? Too chunky? Too dated (it's definitely vintage)? Or the skirt not narrow enough or too long? Do the booties work with this length of a skirt?

Or maybe my eye just isn't used to this look.

Also, my new (to me, free) booties, also vintage, with two pull on tabs. Can I wear them this way, or should I cut off the front tab if I want to wear something that would show the tops of the booties.
