Couple of WIWs - YouLookFab Forum

Yesterday and today were super busy days at work with a slew of interviews with candidates for a position we have open as well as the usual things. I couldn't get my head around the belted cardi-dress challenge, Ms. Mary! I completely failed!

I wanted to be polished and comfortable for a day of sitting, so I resorted to an FFBO uniform of leather jacket, turtleneck and plaid and then added a scarf and booties to mix it up a little.

Today's "More!" challenge suggested taking a page from the playbook of Younger's Diana Trout. I haven't seen that show, but now I want to, and Diana's black and white ensembles are classic and fabulous. I added pearls and a leather jacket to make it even more MORE!

The last outfit from a few days ago was inspired by the Boden catalog. My skirt is a few years old, but also from Boden.

Oh wow that black and white outfit is amazing! All three are pretty good though I like how you took inspiration from the Boden catalogue.

love that boden skirt! #1 accomplished you goal perfectly - polished professional and pretty, and I think the color choice makes you look approachable, which is good in the setting. #2 is great - classic and graphic. I love the pearls. I struggle with button downs, but this might be a silhouette I would try.

I can tell why that's a FFBO ... As joy says, you look polished and relaxed in the one. The black and white is so sharp, and that red shirt is so cool. YLF!

Karen, I like button downs because the collar makes me feel polished, but wow, they are not all created equal. This white one is a no-iron one, so it looks good without much maintenance, but it's stiff and the tail isn't long enough and comes untucked. A sweater helps it stay put.

These are all great. I like your Boden inspiration outfit, the leather with pearls and the first one is really elegant too. Like I said, all great!
