Couple of WIWs - YouLookFab Forum

Hadn't posted a WIW in a while, so thought I would post a couple of favorites.

I'm wearing those EF wide leg crops in #1, but I press a center crease in them...like the lines better that way. This orange Hobo bag has turned into quite a workhorse for me.

The silk tunic in #2 is a departure from my usual "solid color" garments. It is silk, and cut on the bias and I love it. The colors are so much fun to pick up with jewelry, bags and bottoms. I was carrying the orange Hobo, but forgot to include it in the photo.

My hair is driving me crazy...too hot on my neck...I see a shorter cut on my next hair appointment.

Love those crops in #1, the crease gives them an entirely different feel than in the finds photo. Orange is such a fun color, and even better that your bag has turned into a workhorse. And a bias photo for your bias cut top - clever and cute

Cheryl, that is so interesting about the way you press a crease in the EF crops. I love them on you -- so much better than on the model! The vertical line really gives them a crisper look and more streamlined and tailored. Brava on bossing your clothes around. The neutral outfit looks beautiful with the bright bag, too.

Also love the tunic on you -- it looks swishy!

The neutral outfit is so great, and the color combination is probably even better in daylight - I love orange bags. The silky tunic looks like a dream to wear, and the pattern is enticing.

I really like both of your ensembles but outfit 1 stand out to me eyes because of its beautiful shade. Is it gray or sand ? Cannot really tell on my teeny phone screen.

Chiara - thanks so much, and those colors in top 2 really are fun.

Pil - I never realized how neutral orange could be in a bag...it really does work with almost everything. And that bias cut really does make that top flow and give an interesting line.

JAileen - I collected quite a few neutrals and was worried I would get bored, but I have really enjoyed them.

Suz - the crease just made the pants look more slimming to my eye. Makes me wonder why more manufacturers don't press a crease and make the garment more flattering. "Swishy" ... love it!!

Rabbit - thanks so much, that tunic is really comfy and cool to wear, which, for a lady with hot flashes, is very important. I usually steer clear of patterns LOL.

Mauvish - thanks so much. The neutral outfit is a tan/beige color. I think Eileen Fisher calls it "natural".

Angie - I appreciate the proportions comment. Culottes can be tricky where the length is concerned.

Kerry - the grey is actually a natural/tan color...and yes, that is a clear case on my iPhone. With a glass screen protector, it provides just enough protection.

Brooklyn - thanks for the hair comment. Mine grows like a weed, so it's easy to cut shorter every now and again. Funny about the shoes..did you notice they are the same shoes, but in different colors for both outfits? The brand is "Earth" and they are several years old. I wear them constantly.

I agree with you about the crease being more slimming. I have a few pair of the wide crop pants from Old Navy and find that the crease makes them more flattering. Without the crease they look and feel out of proportion.

These EF crops look much better on you than on the model! Total win!

Cheryl, you look wonderful. I especially appreciate the culotte outfit as I've been thinking of getting some. Are you wearing an EF pullover with them? I've also liked the looks in the Johnny Was line but wonder if I'd be overwhelmed by fabric. (In my fantasy life I am taller with curves.)

Really nice outfits . And I'm just repeating what everyone else said, but smart idea to press in a crease on the culottes. It makes such a huge difference! Your hair looks great as is, but I'm also guessing you have a lot of it, so I can sympathize with your frustration ...:)

Joy - the pullover sweater is EF. It was a lucky eBay find. The bias cut on that tunic really does help with shaping. For reference, I am 5'8" tall.

Lisa - The consensus is a def yes to pressing the crease...and my hair is super thick all down the center of my scalp..like 2x that on the sides of my head. I joke with my stylist that I would be a natural for a mohawk.

Smitte - thanks so much...that orange bag really is a fun color. It's a little more muted than crayola crayon orange, and that makes all the difference.
