Corduroy outfits and sweatshirt+pleated skirt

This week I decided to try wearing my corduroy as not long ago Angie had a post about corduroy and it seemed people loved or hated it. I find the skirts easiest to wear, with jackets and pants harder. Also I tried the sweatshirt+pleated skirt+ blazer combo.
.
1. Corduroy blazer+ a bunch of black
2. Cord bootcuts- this one looks a bit silly to me, but I felt pretty happy wearing it and kids really liked it. I think I don’t like the pants—rise feels too low, I don’t like the noncommittal color, and I want it to be either skinny or flared. Might replace.
3-4. Sweatshirt+blazer+skirt. I liked it more without the blazer.
5. Corduroy skirt. This skirt has been surprisingly useful in my closet.
6. The outfit I’ve been wearing for the last couple days because I just like it.

These are all so good but I really love the feel of 3/4. Love everything about it so much, especially the shoes.

I also like the sweatshirt without the blazer and especially like 2 and 5 also. Great mix of silhouettes and you wear them all well!

Yes those are Docs—.very old ones. My grandmother bought them for me at Sears 20 years ago.

I am a lover of corduroy and velvet, especially in cooler weather as it just looks warm and I do love the combination of corduroy with a puffer. These are all lovely. My favourites are #1 - that jacket is just lovely and a beautiful colour on you and #3 & 4 which is like Angie's post on how to wear a pleated skirt from this week... you have absolutely nailed it!

love them all but #3/4 is my fab! WOW, its like a Jcrew styled it but SOOOO much better because its real! followed by #6.....i like #2, but wondering if the pants are a smidge to short, wondering if you had a flat boot or sneakers you would try instead.

Kkards the pants are actually a tad long but they are not wide enough to fall properly over boots. I think you’re right, I’ll be happier hemming them a bit and wearing with sneakers.

JAileen, ya I do love to have fun with clothes. I do feel warmer in corduroy but it’s probably psychological.
