I haven't posted a WIW in ages, but thought I'd post the coral/blue/white combo that I managed today. Turns out this coral top I've had for a year or two but don't wear much for no real reason goes very nicely with this navy skirt I just bought. I also like how my bag adds another shade of blue. Photo location courtesy of neighborhood boutique where I thought a bunch of stuff was on sale for 70% off the already marked-down price, then rapidly lost interest once it turned out that the mark-down was the actual sale price.
I got this skirt in both this color and a dark purple because I wanted a few more versatile solid skirts that weren't black to give myself more remixing options. So far they seem to be working well. Nice thick knit and full enough to be swingy and breezy, but not so much that they're overwhelming.
And, like I was saying on Claire's thread, I wonder whether I especially rely on draping and flowiness to balance the potential blockiness and add interest when I'm wearing an entirely solid outfit. Here, the top has a drapy cowl neckline, the cardigan is long and drapy, and the skirt is a knit with lots of movement.
