Hi all here's an outfit from last week.

I was intrigued when Angie recently challenged RunCarla to copy an inspiration photo. I've been bored lately trying to get dressed, and forum conversations about jeans, joggers, and cargoes didn't suit my workwear needs or preferences. So I went looking for my own copycat challenge.

So, here's my inspiration pic from That's not My Age, and my version. How did I do?

I substituted burgundy cords for the leather, which I don't own. The cowlneck sweater is slightly more plum but I didn't mind the tonal variation. The Glen check blazer (with tiny red stripe) is thrifted Michael Kors. Fits like a dream, but the stance is higher than I'd like. If I button it, I use the bottom button, which is where I wish the top button was.

I was surprised that the outfit didn't "pop" in the mirror for me the way it did in Allison's photo. I find these false plains challenging near my face, same as with grey; it works best with a face-framing high black turtleneck.

Thanks for reading.
