Two lovely, sunny summer days; two similar color palettes.
#1-3, a workwear outfit: Suzi Chin for Maggy Boutique cobalt blue faux-wrap dress; BC Footwear teal pumps; patterned silk scarf in turquoise, kelly green, black, and white (Kate Spade on clearance); white Fossil boyfriend watch.
#4-5, for brunch and a walk with my parents, followed by an evening with the girls where we sipped wine and watched Ratatouille: emerald Vince Camuto midi pencil skirt; periwinkle floral patterned blouse; low wedge Clarks sandals with bone patent leather straps; silver pendant on a black cord; faded Kut from the Kloth denim jacket when it cooled down.
Question for those of you who roll your large square, silk scarves (see these blog posts for the look that I'm trying to emulate here), what is the secret to getting them to stay put when they are too delicate to add a safety pin? With my silk scarves, I worry so much about poking holes or snagging the fabric. Even in the famed Angie knot, this scarf is quite slick and the rolled part around my neck kept unraveling, and even trying to get the knot all nice and neat is tricky.
