Oh I like these! They look very UMP and totally seem to fit your style. I would definitely wear them with BF jeans, and never cover them up! These would be perfect for Sundance!

I like the boots, not so thrilled about them those jeans, however. Worn like that, they sort of look like the Sorels everyone is sporting here!

May I be frank? I am not too crazy about the boots, although they looked really cool on the stock photos. I see lumberjack as opposed to warrior awesome. The toe tip is not too kick butt either.
I like the jeans, I think the lighter shade will be really nice for spring and summer looks as well.

Well I love these for you Una and think you're right in that these plus your Gidigio boots, your boot needs are pretty much met. They totally suit your style IMO.

Strangely enough, I really like them with these jeans this way - it kind of reminds me of a winter version of Angie's recent khaki blog post and the way the pants are scrunched up.

They also sound super comfy and well made - my vote is to keep them.

I think they are gorgeous boots -- as far as quality and leather goes! I come from another land of gear and they would be top notch around here.

I think they definitely have the right Sundance vibe

However, I don't think they have the same style quotient as your Gidigios, though. I'd say they have a more earthy style vibe.

I think I'm torn - seeing the quality, understanding the gear, comparing the Gidigio. . .

Maybe I don't understand UWP well enough but these boots are giving that vibe. I'm seeing very similar to Zap here. For me they are just not communicating your type of "cool" to me.

OK, so I love the idea of these boots, but I have to agree with Zap that the toe is throwing it all off for me. Something about the shape of the toe combined with the seaming and color is somehow reading as "sensible shoes" as opposed to the rest of the boot which is totally Firefly.

Interesting that some don't see these as UWP - to me they are very much winter warrior boots in the Lord of the Rings vein... rugged, practical, RATE. Not so princess, but that's the least of the factors for me in UWP.

Shannon, I'm glad you see the similarity between the scrunched khakis and this look, which is what I was trying to emulate! I was hoping it gave the same effect as tucking the hems into the boots and allowing them to show.

MNsara, these definitely are not the same category as the Gidigios. Those are really in a category of their own and probably the nicest boots I'll ever own. But these are brown, which I need, and RATE, which I love, and practical, as you know!

Anna, these will definitely work with skinnies, and also with some dresses - they are pretty fitted and not slouchy or gappy at all.

Okay, the gold puts them up a notch from a Born boot. I'm on the fence - neither here nor there about them. I think you should go with your gut on this one and feel good about it. YOUR FEET, YOUR CHOICE!!

I had to log in and give my 2 cents because I love them. Talk about rugged, stylish and oh soooo cool. They are all kinds of awesome on you. The metallic finish and the straps, hardware make for a totally UWP boot!

If YOU love them & you're ok with the price keep them. It seems you weren't asking if we liked them, just if we like them with rolled up BFs. We all have different taste so we might not wear them. I prefer with skinnies but have you tried slouchy skinnies? It also seems you're unsure due to price. If you love them & can wear a lot then cost per wear might be worth it. Do you have fussy feet? Are they comfortable?

These are a wonderful look. They'd be too cowgirl/dude ranch with a pointier toe. Perfect for Sundance, cowgirls, Marant wannabees that way but I like the reasonable, more authentic rounded toe for them. They're kind of like magic workboots. I'd sure keep 'em and wear them with special joy if I were you. I knew a European woman who insisted on having a bidet put into her home, saying, "There have to be some privileges for being a working mother." If you can afford an indulgence, then why not.

You're going to look way, way better than half of Alaska, where they're running around (okay, clomping) in bunny boots. Given that they fit your style and are totally apropos in your environment: Keep.

I don't know -- there's something about them that seems off to me....the bulbous toe? I am sure they look better in person. There's something about how the colours photograph which is jarring to me.

I think also the proportions look off to me -- the shaft looks too skinny relative to the foot? I don't know. If you love them and can afford them, then go for it!

Gorgeous boots! But I think the cuffing of the jeans is interfering with the seaming in a bickery way rather than having a proper warrior-to-warrior, boots-to-boyfriend straight-up conversation.

As others have commented, they're not MY thing. But if you love them, and can afford them, AND got them at a great price which has only increased since... then yes yes yes, keep 'em! And I am saying this as a very cheap & stingy shopper.
Also... Sundance. Pretty big deal. Worthwhile of "event boots"!

I love them for you. Magic work boots, FTW. The luxury of being able to slide a bare foot into them (along with the nice slim shaft) would make my mind up fast. Yummy!
