Dear fashion friends,
These are my last color challenge outfits - Earth tones.
Earth tones are not my best friends - I like them but they don’t really like me back… But I wear them anyway, because why not
The first outfit started with a pair of paisley pants (Italian brand Alpha Studio). I added a cognac silk top and cognac booties. Didn’t like the colors on me. Than I layered a fuchsia cardigan (Marina Rinaldi) over the top - and it was much better. Layered two gold colored necklaces (thrifted) and added a dark brown patent handbag (thrifted). I will have to hem the pants a little, they are new…
How did I do?
The second outfit is tonal browns. Chocolate trousers and taupey brown jacket (Escada), cognac booties and top, scarf in browns, taupe and purple (Kenzo) and the same thrifted brown patent bag.
Bonus: a red monochrome… This is an old favorite suit from Escada, bought about 6 years ago. I didn’t wear these items together as a suit, only as separates. Always thought it was too much red. Now my taste is changing, influenced by the saturated outfits that are trending. I think this is quite nice as a bright suit. What do you think? Too much?
Thank you again for looking and I appreciate your feedback, styling tips and comments.
