Your accessories are amazing! That bling bling is some classy thing - love that you used orange as opposing colour to your lovely blue tunic. Although your trousers look purple, im sure they are more blue-looking in real life, like in #3 - again, you never fail Sona. Fab.

So one of the patients I saw today was very young and on narcotics and other addictive drugs for inappropriate reasons. She had just yelled at our psychiatrist then came to see me. I offered her alternative and evidence supported meds for her diagnosis but she insisted she wanted narcotics. I refused.
As I was leaving the room she said "and that fake jewelry you are wearing on your arm is really tacky". I said "thank you" and exited the room.
Rationally I know she was a young, troubled girl desperate to make a cutting remark but strangely enough I have dwelt over it all day and do admit to feeling bad/hurt.
Weird but the rational mind does not always prevail.

you know the drill...a patient in pain lashes out at someone who is trying to help. but that does not prevent a prickle because we all have our insecurities.

besides, i go for tacky...

Sona this is fabulous!! And guess what, I have that same blouse I think the arm party here is lovely, and a very "you" touch. I too will feel more sting on a rude comment that's on something "signature me" than anything else. Try not to let your patient get to you about it *hugs*

Sona you look absolutely beautiful in that blue and your jewelry. I also would be taken aback and bothered by your patient's comment, even though it has absolutely no merit, but remember that she was grasping for a way to hurt you and had to grab the first thing she saw - literally.
