Getting back a little late to this but wanted to thank you for the kind comments. (Had a baking marathon this weekend--was going to skip it with everything going on but at the last minute decided that with everything going on, it would likely be appreciated more than usual so we sucked it up and baked!) After some reflection, I think cardiffgirl got it right--it’s more of a feeling of “meh.” The quarantine is draining!
@Jaileen: Thank you. I don’t think I’ve ever accessorized the cabled sweater--I usually let that stand on it’s own but that’s kind of like a pattern mix. I will give it a try!
@lisa: Thank you! Great idea to pair it with the Docs. It does pick up the yellow stitching. I wore the combo today with jeans and my teal sweater and felt pretty fab!
@Jenni: Glad you can relate to the “comfort” descriptor. You are absolutely right about life being complicated enough without having to be uncomfortable! I think that’s why I’m so drawn to FFBO. They’re easy and comfy!
@Irina: Thank you! I was unsure about 7 but I wore it to take my dad to the Dr. The top in this one matches the pleated skirt. I needed something in case I overheated in the car ride.
@Angie: Thank you. You are always so sweet! I will definitely wear the scarf with the cabled sweater!
@torontogirl: Thank you!
@slimcat: Thank you! The tiger sweater cracks me up--it’s my tiger mom sweater. Everyone laughs when they see it--apparently it’s so fitting. Haha.
@cat2: I hadn’t thought of lilac but I bet it would be gorgeous! Thank you for the suggestion!
@Brooklyn,Shevia and Joy: Haha, thank you. I see you like the colors in your palette the best! I love the idea of the pattern mix. Will have to give it a try.
@Kyle: Thank you!
@Laura: Thank you. I am so glad that mesh is back in fashion. I really enjoy the fabrication--so forgiving and comfortable. There are some great prints out there too!
@Nikki and Liesbeth: Thank you!
@Roxanna: haha--really? I really miss Gap’s holiday sweaters. They’ve had some great ones in years past. This one included. I hope you find it!
@Mary: Thank you!!
@cardiffgirl: Thank you. You hit the nail on the head. It’s a feeling of meh--in general. It’s been a crazy year. This started in March--it will be March again before we know it and probably still be in quarantine! Feels endless!
@suntiger: yep, the colors aren’t my usual. I’m not sure why I was so drawn to it but I do like them together. I think I thought I would grow into it as my hair turns grey...
@Fashintern: Yes, the tiger outfit was my problematic outfit--it just felt off. Probably because it was a new combo for me--maybe when I repeat it, it will feel more me.
@Dawn and Lynne: Thank you!
@Laurie: Haha. Glad you agree on the comfort descriptor! It’s so interesting how not having to interface with the public at work has affected how I feel about dressing. It’s all about function and comfort these days!
