I wasn’t really planning on doing this today, but I ended up digging into my closet and tops today. I emptied three dozen hangers (some of them I reassigned for knit tops that tend to get wrinkled when they are folded on my shelves). I also thinned out my loungewear/pajama drawer, and a couple of tees that were regular wear are now going to be sleepwear. Several old layering tees and tanks went away, and a few old sweaters.

I put a good dent in my tops collection, but as you can see, I still have plenty — I could probably edit more, but I’m going to stop for now. I got rid of items that were feeling a little old to me, a little dated, a bit ill-fitting, and anything that made me feel bad or guilty looking at it. Well, almost. I put a couple of tops in the holding zone in case I lose weight, and I put two warm sweaters in the holding zone in case we get some crazy cold snap.

I also thinned our a handful of costume jewelry, a couple of scarves, several hats, and three handbags.

All of this was on top of the coat/jacket edit I did a few days ago.

1. All my hanging tops for all seasons — About half a dozen more are in the holding zone.

2. Shelves with my folded long sleeve knots (sweaters and tees and layering hoodies).

3. PJ and loungewear drawer

4. Underlayer tees and tanks

5. Loungewear hoodies (I have a lot of these in a variety of weights)

Whew!
