Christmas Day was small and calm here ( except for a panicky text midday from DD ordering her parents to take a rapid test immediately , as she learned that several of her classmates and close friends have all tested pos for Covid . All turned out ok , but geez ! )

I wore a new lace blouse I had hope to wear for a NYE party that’s since been cancelled as Omicron literally rips through homes and businesses in Manitoba . I had taken home 2 pair of jeans from the Gap the other day and had had no time to even try them on until I dressed for dinner . One was these high rise cheeky straights which would have been fine had they not been button fronts . UGH ! With such a high waist I had already figured I should size up for comfort , but I didn’t notice the button fly until I tried them on . How can this possibly be remotely flattering with a tucked top ? Not only is the top button on my rib cage , creating a pouf of fabric below , but now there is at least 4 layers of heavy cotton denim plus metal buttons to add even more bulk . I lasted about an hour in them before deciding they were going back . I did like the length and the width of the leg though .

The one fun thing ? I got to wear some actual makeup for a change and went with second day hair . Lol.

I’m not a big supporter of the Olympics and even less so that it’s in China this year , but the collection Lulu did for Team Canada is so stunning I couldn’t resist . She loves it, which is all that matters .
