A floral dress with cowboy boots..... So decided to play....
i loved cowboy boots in my 20's and had a fabulous pair when I met DH, but he is a Boston born northern snob and didn't like them much, so when I wore them out , I just never replaced them.... Then that funny thing happens with women in their fourties, embracing themselves fully again... The best part is that DH sees how happy, and spunky I feel in them and now actually compliments them....
I was in the kitchen discussing with my children that I know this look has a young vibe, but at 48 time it running out for me to get away with this.. Some may think time has already run out, but I dress for me and my spirit...Without skipping a beat my 18 year old DS said, " Don't worry mom, when you are 80 you can return to all of it an no one will care... Heck I would even be proud to escort you around town and tell everyone it's ok" ....Some lucky lady is going to get a wonderful husband in this young man some day....
Truth be told not my favorite look, but it was fun and brightened my day plagued by sinus pressure, so well worth it...Hoping I am well enough for a fun weekend in Nags Head, NC with friends...
