Did not get this done on time but am still completing it on my own. I'll let you know how I do.

Mac, I just did this yesterday! I recently lost 12 pounds (mostly the dreaded tummy flab) on the South Beach Diet. I knew all of my pants and jeans had to go, but a lot of my tees and jackets were too big. My best friends came over and I gifted 12 beautiful like-new pima cotton tees to them; they were thrilled! They both got jeans and several jackets. Over the last few months, I had already replaced the tees, jeans and jackets.I am SO happy because I know these 'donated' items will be worn and loved by my two best friends!

I did it! (true confession -- some of it had been in my car for a few weeks, but I added a lot, and actually took it to the thrift store)

Final count:
1 pair winter boots
4 sweaters
5 long sleeve shirts
7 short sleeve shirts
2 jackets
1 coat
1 pair shorts
1 pair sandals

22 items!

I didn't even start on pants, since I was too tired.

I'm actually freaking out now because my fall wardrobe is so sad and depleted, but I only got rid of things that I would never, ever wear anymore. There's still some "keep-until-I-go-shopping-and-buy-nicer-pieces things in there, so I can't say that I love everything that's left, but it's so nice to not have it cluttered up with really bad things. Apparently, until last year, I was attracted only to extremely baggy tops in various shades of red! If anyone is in need of some of those, I can tell you what thrift store currently has a ton!

How wonderful this challenge turned out to be !

Since I had things all ready to give away prior to the challenge, I went back and challenged myself to find 10 more ( I never made it to my accessories - which are the things I have most of - but I did get rid of a lot of my children's stuff . )

I am additionally donating/consigning the following ( my stuff ) not 10, all I could do after my big clean out before the challengs :

3 sweaters
2 pairs of pants
1 pair of sneakers
2 T shirts to sleep in
1 rain coat
