Day 5 of the challenge and I thought I would post my dog walking outfit rather than a dressy work outfit.

Here is me with Bijou, my 12 year old Westie who loves life. The last year has been a tough one for this beautiful dog, she developed diabetes and was very ill as it took a while to get her insulin levels sorted. Luckily we have been able to treat Bijou and she is thriving on her special diet and twice daily insulin injections, despite being a bit of a naughty patient who needs to be bribed with little (honestly tiny) pieces of cheese as a reward for having an injection.

We took Bijou and her little sister Margot, who is held by my son, to Kings Park. Lots of people stopped to talk to them and give them pats. My son and I got a nice hello, but we know our place, we are just the companions of the little Super Star Westies.

A bonus of dog ownership is that you meet fellow dog lovers and Bijou loves attention and meeting new people.

My dog walking style is jeans, shirt and a vinyl bag that I bought in Japan. It was very inexpensive, but has been a useful addition to my wardrobe when I need a casual bag and I don't want to be precious about it (dog walking being a good example).

Not the most stylish of outfits and cute child and Westies steals all attention from me anyway, but this is maximal happiness for me. Being with the people and pups that I love, DH took the photo.
