Thank you all for the support, especially appreciate support from all of you with gray hair. I didn’t want to sound like that I don’t like gray hair, which I really do, or that I think that people with gray hair look older, which to me is a nonsense, gray is just another color. But some people could just not see past the hair color and all that people associate with it. And unfortunately it did make me questioning myself, like do I really look like grandma to my daughter or like a mom of my 58 years old friend? Maybe it is not even about the hair and maybe I just look way older regardless? But I do remember that I stopped receiving male attention almost overnight when I first went gray, which was kind of relief in one way but it made me feel invisible also because change how people treated me was so abrupt.
nuancedream - thanks for sharing your story. How long it took before you went into remission? I know lot of people with thyroid issues but all of them are Hashimoto, it seems that Graves is much rarer? My father had Graves too, so it could be genetic also, but I am convinced that it was triggered by Covid in my case.
