I've been on the injured reserve list for the past week, recovering from a small outpatient surgery on August 30. I didn't manage to post my outfits the week leading up to it, but I did take photos so I thought I'd share so you all don't forget me while I'm lazing around the house in shorts, tank tops, and flip flops (photo 6).

1. 8/26: This was my attempt to be cool outside while braving the frigid a/c in the office. I was pretty happy with how it turned out.

2. 8/27: SUPER hot day, forewent the "third piece" and just tried to survive the heat. This blouse is from my first YLF swap and I continue to love and adore it. I wear it backwards to give it a nice asymmetrical hem.

I love these sandal booties and wore them to pieces the last two summers, but this summer I haven't reached for them as much for some reason.

3/4. 8/28: I discovered that two of my friends were also old friends with each other, so the three of us had lunch together on Wednesday. The guy in the middle, Cherif, travels all over the world and is always posting photos of himself with beautiful women on Facebook, and I wanted to look cute for my shot at being a "Cherif Girl!" The guy on the right is the owner of my beloved gym and teacher of the killer boot camp classes.

5. 8/29: I felt like this looked better in person than in the photo, because all the fabrics were beautifully lightweight for summer despite the darker colors. Skirt and blazer are cotton, blouse is silk.

6. And then I disappeared from the face of the earth and haven't been seen since! LOL This is what I'm wearing today, which is about as "dressed" as I've been!
