I seem to be on a plaid kick, without intending it! Just three recent WIWs for casual days and all happened to contain plaid shirts. Getting in the wears before sweater season starts…

Do you find yourself repeating a favorite print or formula when the weather shifts?

Next week I’ll have to shift gears and try a skirt or something! LOL

1-2 today’s outfit: new AG Caden pants, Vince shirt, new NeroGiardini sneakers, and Kurt Geiger bag with guitar strap.

3 plaid shirt (tag cut out, can’t remember maker), AG Harper jeans, Pikolonos boots, fake Bao Bao bag

4 yet another plaid shirt, Caslon I think?, Anthro wide leg chambray pants from years ago, Stella McCartney silver sneakers, and I carried my ancient silver Milly tote.

Great outfits all around, I especially like the colors in the 2nd one. The items in the first outfit are excellent, the color of the pants is so autumn-y.

Yes, I tend to do this, I am currently on two parallel kicks: monochromatic and skirts with stompy boots. I need to run to a store tonight and will be wearing another rendition of the latter, this time with a plaid shirt.

They are all excellent! I particularly love 1-2, the colors are just lovely on you and I love the design of the top. The addition of the guitar strap bag is great!
I always sort of repeat the same formula of trousers, top, jacket/blazer and scarf. But I try to switch colors and fabrics/textures. Occasionally, I wear a dress.

These all look great, Janet.
When the weather changes, I do often find myself turning to some kind of formula dressing, or drawn to similar pieces. Right now, I am discovering the joy of boots with skirts. We are having a couple of cooler days, but will be back into the high 80's later this week.

Gorgeous all round and yes, I do repeat formulas regularly. If I find something is just right for the weather conditions, I tend to replicate with different items, similar to what you have done here.

Brooklyn, my favorite plaid was a teal and burgundy shirt that I finally let go in my last closet edit — it’s always been a little too straight cut for me and pulls at the bust, so I sadly said goodbye. I would love to find that combination again.
