A few learnings this week!

1. I suck at taking outfit photos daily and I am okay that most days my outfit is not really photo-worthy anyhow.
2. I am totally over skinny jeans (my 'slim' jeans I feel okay with even though the difference is somewhat academic, because I feel the button fly and high waist make them look more up to date, and the leg is slim but not tight). They actually just feel off now (slow to the party, I know) and looking at photos from last year, they look off to my eye now. They still run the show in my area, but I am ok to be different (shock!!)
3. My black jeans suck. They were a bad buy (2nd hand at least) and that's ok. They look ok but the waist is too low and I feel like I'm always in danger of a plumber situation.

So, my conclusion is that in the New Year, any shopping I do should focus on updating my jeans; I'm thinking one black pair and one dark blue pair with a straighter leg and a mid-leaning-high waist for maximum versatility and longevity. (I have slim straight and straight cut-off crops, so the blue should probably have a finished hem and maybe even be a full length, but maybe not ... and maybe even be a bit of a wider cut ... will give it some thought and feel free to chime in!)

And statement shoes remain on my spring wish list, although now teal shoes have joined the list of snakeskin sneaks or white booties!

Happy Friday all! xoxo

1. Monday - the blanket scarf was actually pretty comfy as a wrap around the house, and then I used it as a scarf when I went out. Popped it off for cooking and chores, and back on again for working at the computer and chilling on the couch.
2. Today - boring but practical for a day of errands. Was going to apologize for the stompy boots but I actually like the look ... and a long necklace for a change; dated? or ok?

Feedback welcome as always! xx
