Here are days 3 and 4-- It seems I have enough red and white to go all week! The challenge is in making sure the pieces gel into an intentional outfit.
1 and 2, today. White linen pants, cerise satin shell. The morning was chilly so I added a scarf and a tweed check jacket. If it looks seasonally confused, so is the season! Cognac basket-weave slipper flats, because this pant length demanded the lowest possible heels.
3 and 4, yesterday. Red satin short sleeves blouse and the previous day's zip cardi. These very preppy white culottes were in the donate bag last summer when Gwyneth Paltrow did a Goop feature on how to wear them... so they'll continue to come out at least once a year. I don't know why I bothered to iron them; they were creased to smithereens when I got out of the car, and hung straight in the humidity 1/2 hour later. Scarf didn't really add to the look but required for temperature regulation.
4 and 5, More bonus pics of the ocean after the rain.
