In my not so distant past as a lurker (although that sounds way more creepy that it is in reality), I always enjoyed the threads about naming your style or having style monikers. I know that pictures speak louder than words, but taking baby steps here. I thought perhaps some of "us newbies" could describe the word pictures that guide us. (I apologize if this has already been done in other posts - so much content/so little time).
I'll give it a shot.
I narrowed my guide words down to three currently.
1). casual - boring I know, but my work life (like others on the forum) is spent in scrubs and family life involves soccer games/playgrounds/messy art projects - have to dress for reality!
2). sporty - not in a yoga pant/team sport shirt way and not preppy, but perhaps more tomboy and not frilly/flouncy. My gray highness converse sneakers recommended by Angie are a good example.
3). chic - this word is really why I need YLF- it currently stands for that special something that elevates me from my plain tee/jeans baseline!
Thanks for reading, now it is your turn!
