Sadly like Karie, we had to put our fur baby Gain to sleep yesterday. He developed a severe bladder infection on Friday and it just escalated so quickly despite everything the vet did. By Sunday at noon his kidneys had shut down and he was bleeding profusely into his bladder.

Although he was only with us a short time (3 years), he made a big impression. He was the most people-oriented cat I've ever met. The way I look at it, although his life with us was way to short, it was soooooo good. He gave us a lot of love and we gave him a lot in return. We were lucky to have him for the time we did.

Now we will need to focus on Dusty Bottom. The two of them have been together since they were six weeks old and were room mates at the rescue where we got them. Dusty had been so badly beaten and abused, that he was terrified of everyone and everything. Gain helped him to trust again and Dusty always looked to Gain for his confidence. He would only do something if Gain did it first.

Karie - I hope our kitty babies are frolicking together
