Burgundy & Brown

A few weeks ago I put together a look with brown and burgundy, pulling the burgundy color out of a print... That color combo stuck with me and I wanted to give it a go on it's own... not supporting a print...so first picture is the original and next up is the follow up...
I liked the two rich colors together for the winter season and glad I finally got around to putting them together...
Is it just me or do outfit inspirations and ideas haunt you until you put them together?

Oh my--I love 2 & 3. What a beautiful rich combination of color and texture. I am so drawn to this combination, but I don't have much brown left in my closet any more,

I love this combination, Tracey; it's such a rich and interesting palette. I particularly like 2 and 3, probably because of the more intense colours.

How I love both interpretations of "brown" and "burgundy". The first one is more berry-like, fun, casual, and complements well your hair color. The second one is a dream! All colors seem to flow from one another, they have the same pink undertone, and what a great choice of jewelry too. The rich chocolate jacket needed a light toned adornment.
I like your description of how you came up with the second outfit. It's a win. I call it a poem. I think you have found a very creative and efficient way of coming up with a charming outfit.

i ilke the way the burgundy brings a richness and depht to the brown. i would never have thought to put these colors together, one of the reason i don't wear brown is that other than cream, i can never figure out what color to wear with it, but this works.

Thanks ladies... i think brown has always been a good color in my book as a natural brunette. I was sick of wearing it with just green, Orange or other browns..

I have always loved burgundy with brown. I love red and brown, too. Maybe it's because my hair is brown.

I think #3 shows off the colours their best, so rich and lots of great texture. Nice combo Tracey!

This is a great color combination for you. The boots bookend your hair and the color is fun. Isn't merlot a new hot color? (I think if you call a color a fancy name it sounds more current )
