Some of you may remember that I had a style goal this summer to learn to do super casual with more flair and ease. This was taking on a "challenge" for someone on team dressy, who would welcome a world with gloves and hats, but lives in a suburb full of bear jerseys (I mean "The Bears"), sneakers and SUV's.

I'm now attempting the same for my winter looks. Trying to be casual, but "me" and presentable.

1. This shirt is an almost orphan, because it doesn't have enough "flow," but I like it with the vest and scarf. I popped on my red Munros, but wonder if the leg lengthening of my black booties would have been better. What do you think?

2. I put on these items after Angie's post about sizing. These jeans, Levi's mid-rise skinnies, fit the same way they did when I bought them 3 years ago. I can't fit in this size in the new "mid rise skinny" I can, however, wear their curvy skinny, which is a better fit and nicer rise, anyway. I'll probably replace these soon.

The jacket, which I can button, but only because it's stretchy, is a medium. Yep. I think I bought it for the color, and because, before YLF, I would buy anything that was fit that had a lower number. Silly. The jacket is the shrunken style that was in 5 years ago. I like it -- but I've got my eye out for a more modern fabric and shape in this color. Years ago, I wore the tee out, but I think it looks more modern tucked, with a belt. What do you think about the colored booties? Should I have worn black, or the taupe boots in the next pic?

3/4: BF's are my "best" jeans. Love em, even the baggy butt! This is really slouchy for me, but I wore it at home, and then put on the sweatshirt cardi in #4 for running errands. It was 40 degrees, but I was comfy going from the car and through the stores -- much better than sweating in a coat. Grey is not my best color, but this cardi is a workhorse. I do wonder if the looped thumb is a little juvenile.

I'm now transitioning to my "Deep Autumn" capsule, and trying to find holes for the Holiday Capsule to come!
