BR cream jeans arrived! ETA: added smaller size pics

Mine arrived a day later than Suz's even though I think we both placed an order on Tuesday. Well I guess Kingston is closer than London...:-)
I ordered 2 sizes. 12 was too tight for my liking (and very said as Angie said they fit TTS, which means I am moving up in the bottom size...horror!)
14 was better but I am still not sure and here they are for your review.
What do you think? The length is barely passable (this is regular, Tall is not available in Canada) I am not sure about the front whiskering - is it a bad fit or not?

Angie, I would especially appreciate your input - you know how sensitive I am about the jeans and trousers fit.

ETA: After seeing Suz's post I decided to try the smaller size again. I don't know if it is too snug or I am just used to looser fit now...anyway I have added pics 4-6 of the size down.

Well, I think that the fit looks very flattering on you Sveta - and do not get hung up on the size, because you know every store has a different sizing standard - even among their own items! The only thing that gives me pause about these is the length. I think it is passable because they are straight/skinnies - but the talls would probably be better, wouldn't they? I don't know for sure how shipping works from the US to you, but if you want, I can look in my local BR for you and see if they have any talls. Just let me know, OK?

I think they look great but I would want them to be a little longer. I can't believe you can't get talls in Canada.

I would also try looking for Talls if someone could get them for you. That extra inch or two could make all the difference.

I think they look fantastic! And yes, I would see if someone can get the Talls for you. In fact...Sveta -- I can look next week if you like!!

By the way, these are WAY looser than mine. Yes. On the thigh? This is what a size up would probably look on me. Just saying. I think they look great, but just know that the 12s probably look similar to mine on me.

Are those the regular length? I am wondering if I have just super long legs, you are taller than me and those were high waters on me ... (Scratching head)

ETA: Ok, I just read... Those are the regular. I actually don't think they are too short, they don't scrunch but they are not bad. We tall lasses need to compromise sometimes, no? I think what's throwing the eye off is that since they are a bit big, they do not taper as they should at the hem, therefore they look like straight legs, when they are not. The size down would correct that, or you can tell your talented mom to taper them. That would solve the problem.

I think you need to size down. How do you feel about that? I know you like fluid fits but these ones need to be a little more snug, I think.

I would get the tall size for you but they are all sold out and have been for a while. I lucked out myself.

See? I think we need to see the 12s maybe too? You are used to wearing a slouchy fit trouser now...but it would be good to compare side by side. You may be 100% right (and of course you must go with your own best judgement) but I still think it is worth taking another look unless you found them uncomfortable at that size.

Well...the rear view is particularly awesome! I agree with the others that you could use some more length, but if you can find talls, they are definitely keepers.

Fit is not too tight. I think you would be happier with a longer length--especially if there is any shrinkage at all. I think you could really have fun with these.

I think they look really good Sveta.... and I like that kind of fit, although there can be a trade-off between a bit of ease in the hip/thigh area and wrinkling lower down.

It's possible, Zap, that you did not fit on regulars - but shorts. Sveta is 6ft. And these are absolutely passable in length - although you would be rejoicing the Talls. Sveta, the fit is killer fantastic. The length - I leave up to you.

I'm very confused. My cream jeans look exactly the same - same fabric composition too - but are not sized 0, 2, 4, 6 etc. They are sized 24, 25, 26, 27. And the online version is sized in 0, 2, 4, 6 too. What is going on? Do I have different jeans?

I decided to wear size down around the house a bit to see if they loosen up enough for comfort. I am sitting in them now and that waistband is digging a bit...
Zap, I am tall but my legs are average length for my height - and yours must be extra long! Usually I need 33-34" in skinnies and 35.5' for 2" heels. So these are on the border of being short for me...
Now you can compare with size down and tell me the truth!!

I like the smaller size. I don't think these jeans work well baggy, because they are baggy in the wrong places, the butt looks a tad saggy and the thig fit is off in the larger size.

Angie-My BR skinnies, were a 4P on the sticky tag from the store, but on the waistband they are 27P. Perhaps that's why the sizes are different? I haven't gotten my cream jeans yet so I cannot speak for those. And my current BR skinnies are from last year.

Edit to add: Sveta-My BR skinnies are usually snug at first and stretch just enough to fit nicely after some wear, but not like some jeans were I would size down because they stretch too much. I usually purchase my usual size vs say Lucky Brand where I go down a whole size.

Angie, mine said 26 on the jeans tag but was sold as 2 (online). So I think they are the same -- just different sizing systems.

Sveta, I actually like the snugger ones, as they are skinnies, but either is good on you. They do have some give. I have been wearing mine all day now -- they do not bag out, but they do ease up a little bit, judging from my own experience so far.

I think the first pair look great. The rear view is fantastic. Maybe a little roomy on the thigh, but still a really good look.

I think I will wear size 12 (31) around the house today and see how they loosen up. I think I would prefer a slimmer fit because I already have slouchy cream trousers so I will get more variety with skinnier shape.
But in this case they do not have this size in tall in US as well so it should be this length. It is not ideal but does it look to ridiculously short on me?
My biggest concern in the smaller size is my butt and thighs: I don't want too snug fit there because I want to tuck in. So tell me the truth: can I tuck into those?

YES. You can tuck and belt into the smaller size. Promise. Wearing the smaller size around the house for a little while is an excellent idea. Got to keep the body image happy. xo

Umm, everything is possible Angie but I doubt it. I tried them at the store, they only carry regulars or petite ( in their petite section)... I'm mystified myself.

Sveta, I like the smaller by a thousand percent and the length is not bad, at all. They could be longer, yes, but they look more than passable, honestly. Keep them, cream jeans are VERY hard to come by. Trust me, I have been looking for ages now.

Sveta, I think they look great and would vote on the smaller size, as well, and glad you posted those. It really does help to walk around the house in them and get a feel for their wearability and comfort. How are you feeling about the length? Are you planning on trying the Talls, too, Sveta?

Size 14 is packed and ready to go back - I do like size 12 better. If not for Suz posting her pictures I would never even considered them!
They did loosened up quite a bit without bagging. They only feel tight when I sit down - not uncomfortably tight but tighter-than-my-slouchier-pants tight but I guess I need to get used to it again, right?
I think they are keepers and it concludes my 3+ year search for white jeans! Well, may still want to add optic white if I ever meet them but I am happy for now
Oh my, it looks like 2013 is going to be the best year ever for me: Year of Long Tux Blazer, Year or White Leather Jacket, Year of Long Wool Coat and Year of White (well technically cream but still a shade of white) Jeans!
