Thank you so much everyone! I was very happy with how this turned out and am super chuffed you love it too!
Angie & Denise: It was a fun coincidence indeed. I had to laugh when Angie's blog post came online and I realized I was wearing *that exact* outfit:-)
Angie: After taking this photo, I buttoned up the shirt all the way and that made it look even a bit more boyish. Fun!
Tanya: Yes, it's an Equipment. We're both fans, aren't we. Why do they keep making gorgeous blouses, so tempting!-)
Laura: Shall I come over with a big bowl of ice cream to help you recover?-) Thank you for loving this outfit so much. After only a few days these jeans have already become favourites, they're so comfy too. If I'm not careful I won't want to wear any other denim silhouette the coming months...
Nadya: So sweet of you to say, and you're right, I don't post very often. My pics are not the best quality and that makes me a little hesitant to post.
Shannon: Good question. I got lucky with the Bardot jeans, the cut really seems to suit my body. I love it that they are a little roomier in the thigh and then tapered at the bottom of the leg. This makes them lie flat against my calves when I roll them. They are a lower rise (but not low-rise, I don't like that), and quite roomy in the waist. (that's why the belting and tucking works so well, I suspect). I do need a belt to keep them up, not that they would fall down to the floor, but they do slide down a good bit. They also fit great in the seat: not tight, but not super baggy either, in fact they seem to have just enough slouch everywhere to make them "boyfriend" jeans. Hm, I'm not sure if this is helpful at all, but I think they are worth a try, Shannon.
Vicki: *smile*, and how did you know?!! I actually did wear the cream Zara jacket with this outfit yesterday. I felt it added a little polish, and the cut of that jacket just seems to work with everything.
Earlier this week, I also wore the jeans with my white denim jacket for a super casual look. And with a black blazer with white tipping, which made it preppy à la J. Crew, loved that a lot too.
bookwormmoran: those jeans are fun too, a slimmer cut than the ones I have, but also great.
Denise: Thanks, I feel this is the best rolled length for me (I'm about 5'9"), and really think you could do a "higher roll" as well.
Aida: Yes, the shirt has a snakeskin print and I was really drawn to it because of the unusual colour. It's a very bright mint green in reality, always makes me smile.
Thank you again everyone!
