Nemosmom asked how to wear boots with skirts and dresses. I loved Ginger's post and found it really useful to see her WIWs, so I thought I would add to the thread too.

I like wearing boots, they are my favourite footwear, for comfort and ankle stability. I tend to find any excuse to wear boots as opposed to other footwear. I have even worn boots to a ball because my dress was so long and my feet were hidden, so I thought I could get away with it, as opposed to the stilettos that I was initially going to wear.

My boots with skirts and dresses is a formula that I wear a lot. I do understand that it may not be the most flattering look, but JFE works for me when it comes to boots. I mainly wear ankle boots because my climate is warm and long boots feel too heavy most of the time.

1. Spring dress with grey ankle boots (quite a gap between the hem of the skirt and dress)
2. Pencil dress with white boots (less of a gap, but a more tonal combination)
3. Black high boots with sheer asymmetric skirt (next time I wear this I think I will pair it with sheer black hose)
4. Short denim skirt with black patent ankle boots.

My hem lengths and skirt styles are all different - so you may find some of these more flattering that others.
