Boots Too Tall?

These are the Miz Mooz "Kacy" riding boots (Nordstrom) in hard to find grey.
(Worn with Paige Hidden Hills straight legs in "Fiji")
Too tall for my short little legs?
I can bend and sit, but they do pretty much come up to just under my kneecaps.

#2 LOVE those boots and know just how hard it is to find grey. It is tough to tell if they are too tall when you have the trousers on. Will you wear with skirts as well, or just this way?
Are they comfy?

They look pretty tall to me. Do they pinch? I tried them on and had to return because they were uncomfortable at the kneecaps.

Suz - I'd wear them with these jeans only (I don't do dresses!) They seemed pretty comfy but it was a billion degrees yesterday and I could only tolerate them for about 15 minutes before I was roasting.

Most of my boots get a little shorter with wear, as the ankle softens up and remembers creases. If they aren't uncomfortable, they look great!

Such stunning boots, Tara! I don't mind them this tall, really, as long as it's not uncomfortable when you sit or bend your knees.

Love the boots. I think the only reason for boots being considered too tall is if they rub at the back of the knee and irritate you. If they feel good, they are definitely keepers.

You look fabulous, and I know from experience that gray boots are hard to come by! If you are just going to wear them with skinnies, and they are comfy, then I say keep!

They don't look too tall at all; they look great! So as long as they are not uncomfortable to wear (although Rae is right, and many boots soften up a little and shrink as they are worn), they are keepers.

They look really good. My main test with tall boots is if the back catches on the car seat while I'm driving.

Great looking boots. My key issue with boots, they must be comfy no pinching or hitting in the knee cap or back of the leg when sitting. If these pass those two tests I vote keep!

While I wouldn't go any taller (except for over the knee boots), I think the length of these looks fine with jeans tucked in. They are stunning boots!

Love the rich sheen of the leather and the deep gray -- definite keep, but only if they're comfy.

It's been a while but I'm glad to see a post from you! Wow, you glow in that color top and look great overall.

The boots are blending a bit with the jeans, but as others have said if the back of the knee is keep free for full range of motion when walking and sitting then the shaft height works for me.

I actually like the front of the boot to come up as high as possible towards the kneecap (without impairing aforementioned ROM, of course!) but that is a personal preference. They seem like a keeper if comfort is there!

i like tall boots on my short legs too.

how do they feel behind the knee? that's where i notice bunching when i sit. if the leather is stiff enough, it doesn't unbunch easily and it chafes when i walk. the bunching may be more noticeable with jeans too, given the extra fabric.

Sadly I think they may be too tall... but I may be partial here: I have fallen in love with boots this high in the past, only to wind up getting annoyed by how they rub at the back of my knee, and -- even worse-- get caught on the car seat when I'm trying to drive, which is a safety issue. Can you try them in your car first? That is now my litmus test for boots.

My ideal height for boots is 13 inches, which is same measurement that I need for my calves. These are extremely hard to find. I would love a pair in a light gray.
