Boots! Help me decide (pics)

I've been on a boot ordering spree lately and things have finally settled down enough for me to actually take photos and get opinions.
I was looking for a slightly more casual/comfortable boot to wear over jeans or skinny pants. Plus, I've been wanting a pair of suede booties to wear with skinnies and skirts/dresses (probably with tights?).

Money isn't an issue, it's just about shape and how they look on me. They have to be a 10. Both fit okay (the Borns are a little snug, but are leather so would stretch some).

I like both the Kenneth Cole equally , with a slight preference for the grey.

The desert boots are cute, but I think the lightness of the wedge heel is distracting from the cuteness of the boot.

I think I like this heel better than the light wedge...more sleek , better for a pencil skirt and would work well with skinnies too

I like the Born Alissa personally. I think it hits your calf at a more flattering height. They are both really nice though. Don't care for the wedge heel bootie. Love the Desert Row bootie by Clarks, I'm actually hoping a pair of these is under my Christmas tree right now!

I really like the grey Kenneth Cole boot. It looks like it fits your leg perfectly over the boots, and is such a nice, sleek look. I prefer it to the brown boots because I prefer the shape, but that is a personal preference. If I were you, I would keep the grey for sure.

However, I have had bad experience with a Kenneth Cole shoe. This was about five or six years ago, so things may have changed, but I found that the shoe wore down really quickly and it pretty much fell apart. I have no idea if others have had similar experiences, but it might be worth reading some reviews.

Booties are not to my taste, so I can't fairly comment on them. I do think that I prefer the one you linked to because the heel color on the wedges you have seems a little jarring with the black suede.

I prefer the fit of the brownish ones in pic 1-4 and I adore those booties!

Hmm, this is hard. They are both really beautiful but I am going to go with gray. The Kenneth Cole pair has a little bit of heel, which I prefer. We, pear girls, need all the height we can get, especially when wearing skinnies.

I like the booties, but I am not in love with them with the skirt. They have a pretty high vamp and hit your ankle at its thickest point making you stumpy. They are gorgeous with skinnies though.

Maybe a pair like this, with a slightly lower vamp in the front would be a better bet for you?

I like the Kenneth Cole boots best. The tiny wedge heel adds a bit so you can dress them up, but they are still casual enough to dress down. Love the detailing (added panel) on the outside.

I absolutely LOVE the Steve Madden boots with your skinny pants. I like them with the skirt too, but not quite as much. Could you try them with black tights? I think that may be better.

The desert boots are killer. Love them with pants. Fierce. Not loving with skirts, but maybe if you wear tights. I like the wedge heel -- it's a bit unexpected. I prefer the grey boots because they are taller, have a heel, look a bit more fitted, and have more of a polished look that is Sarah-esque. Not sure from these pics if they rate a 10 (I'm a tough shoe critic), but they are really nice looking, Sarah.

As I said on your thread, I got the KC wedge boots (same grey shade) not long ago and love the comfort, color, and height. I also like the way they make skirts a little less dressy. So I'm definitely biased, but I really like them on you as well!

That said, the Born Alissa look great on you too.

I vote KC boot, it is hands down nicer than the Born boot and fits in with your style more. too The Born looks a tad rugged while the KC boot has more polish to it. I also prefer the non slope front of the KC against your leg versus the u shape the Born has to it when looking at the leg near the knee. The elongation you get with a u shape does not translate well to my eye when higher up on the leg near the knee such as these.

The SM desert boot is cute, but does have high contrast with the lighter heel. I own the Clarks Water Row Bootie and LOVE it, so my biased opinion is going to be to go for those. Also I have worn my Water Row booties with both skinnies and dresses to positive feedback. I find the slope shape front against the leg low near the ankle creates a pleasant line in continuing to elongate the leg in a skirt or dress where the SM bootie cuts off the leg sharply around the ankle. When near the bottom of the leg I find a slope shape is nicer to the eye.

The wedge boots look more "Sarah" - they have more polish and attitude. I like the desert boots to wear casually with skinnies or leggings, not so much with bare legs because of the legline.

I love the tall gray boots, and I think I prefer the desert boots with the black heel, rather than the cream wedge.

Whew! Thanks for all of your great advice! What would I do without YLF?!
I'll keep the KC boots. I really like the fit and how high they go on my leg. They're a little snug with the black pants (probably because I got the long length and have them folded under) so hopefully they'll work over my leans too.
I'm undecided on the Borns, but I have time. Thanks to the 365 day return policy. O:) I actually am introducing more...ruggedness? to my style lately. I don't know if it's the Austin influence or not, but the texture on the Borns really appeals to me. It's similar to the Sam Edelman Sutton OTKs that I couldn't fit over my knees.
I'm returning the SM booties beCAUSE I do want a pair I can also wear with skirts. If anyone is interested, they are so cute in person. I'm wondering if the tan pair (with the same color wedge) would be better in this style. So I'm off to hunt for another pair. Thanks for the suggestion, Bella!

*bump* I could still really use some bootie suggestions. Also good boots for under bootcuts. My shoe wardrobe is seriously lacking.

Voting for the grey KC's as best fit and look. I'm with Bella on the high vamp of the booties. Have you tried the Clarks Indigos in the YLF store in black?
