Oh my gosh. They are both to die for. I love the gray suede--so chic and a gorgeous color for you (or me!). And the black ones are just fantastic, too. I imagine both of these will be in style for years and years. I can see why you got them. In 10 years, when they're still in style and going strong, similar boots will cost how much percent more than they do now? More than twice as much?

YAY- and 2 pairs to boot

Oh wow. I am going grey with envy.

These look SO worth the PPP wait.

Loooooove the gray!! Can't wait to see you style them!

I'm not sure why I can't view the links, but I look forward to seeing them in your future outfits. Congrats on finding your boots. It is so frustrating when you try and try and try and NOTHING works out. I've heard La Canadienne really last so they sound like a great investment purchase.

The links worked for me and they looked great! After such a long search and wearing some you werent super pleased with last year this is a great find. You were wise to jump on both pairs and i'm sure they will serve you well.

Suz, these are great choices, both of them! I think the black ones are similar in style to my new cognac ones, yes? They look really versatile and and will definitely serve you for years to come. The grey ones are perfection, too, and I can easily imagine you in your pencil skirts and dresses with those. Forget the price if you haven't already, these beauties are definitely worth it because they are fairly classic, and they fit you really well.

Hi Suz --

Aside from the price tag it sounds like a fantasy-come-true for those of us who find boot fit a challenge -- and even *with* the price, LCs seem to get rave reviews from long-time owners so I have a feeling you will get your money's worth!

Both pairs look as if they'll be a great addition to your wardrobe. Enjoy!

I just read the boot news in your blog post comment. Congrats. I can't wait to see you sport them, pretty lady. xo

Gee I laughed at the smoking charge card.... Those boots are worth every penny and you will wear them for years. Lucky find.

Wowza! Both of those boots look great- can't wait to see them in action!

Love them. Especially the grey heeled ones. I am looking forward to seeing them in outfits.

Wow! Love those. Especially the black ones -- they will be super practical and look sharp.

so beautiful!! I love the grey pair--and they are waterproof too, out for my heart!

Gorgeous boots!! Well worth the long wait, and I can't wait to see you in them.

Does it just feel amazing when you find your Holy grail?!?

I'm lusting after the grey ones. How do you find the shaft height and width on the site? If I take the smaller of my sizes, it would be the 38 or 7.5.

Love them both! I can't see the grey pair as well, but the black definitely looks classic and will last for years. I too am a big La Canadienne fan and can attest that their boots are indeed waterproof, comfortable and durable. (Though to avoid the "smoking charge card" problem, I haunt the sales pretty obsessively when I'm looking for new boots.) And yes, you have to try on a lot to find the pair that fits right...great for you that you found two such pairs!

Both are just gorgeous Suz. Looking forward to seeing them on

Espresso and chocolate? Now that's good service! What a blast. You work really hard and you deserve these fine boots. Plus, they are a need, not a want where you live. I'm so happy for you and I can't wait to see them in action!

Guess what? I messed up!!

I brought home MOKA boots instead of the CHARCOAL I thought I was buying. I guess that espresso went to my head. OY VEY.

They have a really wonky return policy too. Basically, like nothing, except within 7 days, and I can't get back to Montreal in the next 7 days. Well, I'll be on the phone with them tomorrow, but this could get interesting.

Also, I found the black boots on 6 pm for less than half the price. Not that 6 pm delivers to Canada, but you know....

Congratulations on your big boot bonanza! PPP pays off.

OMG, I need some visuals! Pronto!

Oh, dear! How is the moka color for you?
That's discouraging about the price difference on 6pm. I don't like shopping on that site, though. I would expect to pay more for better service, but that much of a difference is kind of disconcerting.

Frequent lurker and not-so-frequent poster here. Suz, what about mailing the MOKA boots back to Montreal, even in some sort of expedited manner so that they make it there in 7 days?
Also, I know this is not helping probably, but my one and only pair of La Canadienne boots is actually from 6pm.com, and they too were less than half of the original price. I've bought other pairs (including La Canadienne) from 6pm and returned a few pairs, and I've never had any problems with them. Depending on how price-sensitive you are (I am very) and how willing to do the hassle, it might be worth considering ordering through 6pm since you know the size and model, if you have a US address you can use?

Oh, I know that heart-sinking feeling when you accidently come home with the wrong size or colour after a purchase I hope it gets sorted out for you Suz.

Oh you poor thing - fingers crossed

Wow, these are really great buys, congrats on findig and buying them, Suz! Esp love the greys.
It reminds my last years find, a distressed grey leather long boot, with a moderate block heel, which fitted my wider calf (had some adjusting buckles on their upper side). I was in heaven-but then, my DD saw them, and wanted them, too. Wearing same boots mother and daughter was out of question as she is only 16:-), and secluded herself of this ideea to the extremes.
Now, what has a mother to do in this exact case? I bought them for her ! (one size smaller)
Only to find out deeper in the seazon.... that she will stick with her lacey Doc Martens... and will not wear the new boots at all...- as considering them too grown up/feminine (I have warned her, but at that time she sooo wanted to try).
In the meantime they sold out of course, so I eventually had to sell them (my dream boots) on the ebay....:-)

Very good choices. You won't regret.

Oh no! Hopefully they will let you ship them back...What a waste of postage though, huh. Keep us posted!

Wasn't on the forum yesterday or Sunday so just saw this Suz - WHOO HOO!!! Congratulations on your exhaustive tall boot search ending in such fashion! Looking forward to seeing these beauties in action:)
