I ordered the light blue coat and dress - and both a size too big everywhere.
*sobbing*
Boden's smallest size is a US2, which fits me about 50% of the time despite the fact that I wear a US0 or US00 in American stores. The drape and fit of the fabric is that good, and I don't like my stuff too tight, so it can work. Their shoulder fits are structured which helps my narrow frame. AND I happily alter the US2 to fit. Have done that with a few Boden items with very positive results.
The coat is absolutely STUNNING. The quality on the inside of that coat will blow your mind. Truly, it leaves most exclusive designers in the dust. Soooo beautifully made. It was the most perfect shade of pastel blue, and blocked with tomato and navy. My colours. It was also VERY long. I downed in it. Not alterable.
The dress has THE most elegant sweep, and the fabric is substantial - and "holds you in", IYKWIM. It was exactly a size too big all over, and I don't have the option of sizing down. Not alterable. I can at least enjoy it on UmmLila - who rocks the look.
(I am too tall and long limbed for petite sizes - so that is out. 5ft 6 with long arms, and I don't do short hemlines).
I hope that Boden hasn't changed their size specifications. Otherwise I'm sized out completely. I'm about to place a HUGE order, and will keep you posted.
