Bob's My Uncle

I love Angie's last outfit (1) and wanted to give it a try with my own billowing blouse (2-4).

Possibly JFE, but I don't think that blouse is good enough to stand alone :
Horizontal hem
Not a good fit (one size too big)

Might use the shirt as layer only.
So I tried a last, F/W outfit, inspired by Uncle Bob (5-7).

Not sure about any of this, I think I have to wear the outfits to know how I feel about them.

How clever of you to imitate Uncle Bob! (Until the last photos, I thought Angie was "Uncle Bob," though you are clearly alluding to her as well. . . . multiple allusions here, huh?)
I like the blouse best with the faded jeans in 3 and the white jeans and little flats in 3. I guess I'm seeing the oversized look as more congruent with dressing down rather than dressing up. I kind of want to semi-tuck it. Do you wear that look?
What about loosening the color and tie just a little bit, for a little bit of rakishness?

Firecracker : I always wear that shirt tucked, I wanted to try untucked looks but I don't like them. Loosening the tie looks worse because it makes the shirt even more unstructured and bigger. So I put a blazer over it all : that old trick always works for me

Angie : yeah, went to the hairdresser yesterday for an overdue haircut, that's why hair is weirdly smooth and well behaved

#7 looks like a shot for a fashion magazine, it is that good. #5, which looks like the same outfit, is gorgeous. The blouse looks great under jackets.

Thanks Tanya, yes #5 is the same outfit as #7, minus the Wayfarers and 1966 attitude and I agree to keep that blouse under jacket.

Love #4! I think #3 would be super with the top tucked for some shifted-upwards proportions. #7 feels lighter than #5 because of the shoulder draping ^^

Oooh....Isabelle with sleek hair! Looks sharp....but I don't think the secret to your "always chic" look is your hair...it's your attitude. You exude self confidence like no one woman I've ever seen.

#7 is just plain awesome. I seriously love these 'poses' you do I've never been able to pull off a pussybow blouse, but I think you do it great Justice. #5 is a seriously drool-worthy outfit. Simple but such perfect proportions!

I do like the color combo in #4. I think you wear the top well, so you don't always have to wear it inside a jacket.

Love the 60's hipster androgyny of the last look, of course, but I also think the 3rd photo is a great look. the lighter, shorter pant and bold, but feminine shoe takes the blouse in a new direction.

Sally : you see my hair after it's been blown dry by the hairdresser here.
It never looks like that when I dry it myself.

Beth Ann : yes, I think the first outfits have potential.
The post helped me see the blouse much more clearly.
I've taken it to the taylor for alterations this morning.
I hope it will be more versatile once it fits better, and become a stand alone, as well as a layering, blouse.

I love #7, but I'm thinking a jacket slung over the shoulders isn't the most practical way to wear it all day. I also really like #3 for a more wearable look. The horizontal line doesn't bother me with the jeans for some reason.

You're spoiling us lately with all these outfit posts Isabelle I think you can really rock a pussy bow blouse and you really have the best posture. Clothes just love your frame.

Of the stand alone blouse and bottoms looks, I think that I prefer 3 and 4 because the lower vamped shoes appeal to me more with the cropped pants. With the jacket, #7 just blows me away! So cool!
