Carole, I know, right? I don't usually shop at ON, but they have quite a selection of petites, and if we're talking maxi dresses (or really, any dress), I absolutely must have a petite! I figured it was worth a chance since I blow through my summer clothes pretty fast. Heat/sweat/sunscreen destroys them within a season, no matter what quality I buy, so I might as well go cheap. What's more my weight is up these days -- and keeps creeping up -- so I am loathe to invest too much $ when my size keep fluctuating. Not to mention, in warmer months, I live in dresses.
This dress is pretty well made and the knit has spandex or something in it so it doesn't stretch out and I don't think it'll pill too quickly. Only nit I have with it is that the hem could be finished better. Otherwise, it fits perfectly and I like that it has sleeves.
I also recommend the tank maxi's. I bought a few, one of which I've washed about 4x's already. It's starting to pill just a bit at the hem, but I think it'll last through the season and for the price it can't be beat.
