Quick one for today. Our kids are long gone, family far away and now isolated, so this is much like any other Sunday. We will have family zoom and a slightly fancy dinner. Getting out the good china.

I forgot I had bought this bright blue sweater--haven't worn it yet. I usually leave blue for my 2 blue-eyed blonde sisters, but Macy's has had incredible sales this year. I looped it over a hangar bar and it got lost until my closet became so crowded with cool weather/warm weather clothes together. It's Karen Scott, and I've bought brown tops from this label as well as part of my color experiment. This is 100% cotton cable knit, which I expect will stretch out in the sleeves. Problem with heavier cotton knits.

I tried my birthday Na Hoku pendant with it. Maybe the butterfly pin/pendant will work better.

Also my Cartier watch, bought '97 I think. Besides the Chanel bag I've long wanted a Cartier watch. If you look at the close up, it's Must de Cartier, a bridge line no longer sold. Vermeil instead of gold. We got it at Traditional Jewelers in Newport Beach, CA. I also bought the ring there another time, as well as Mr. M's newish wedding ring. They do try to give you a good deal. I had the ring enlarged because of my knuckles, now it's a bit too big. I had matching earrings, but they were stolen in the house burglary.

I have spent more than the watch cost on repairs and cleanings--they send it to the Cartier center in Paris, but now in Texas. I've replaced the crystal 2x, the band 1x but needs it again, and the crown 1x. I'm wondering if it's time to just buy a new watch! I've spent much more on maintenance that the watch cost.

Still, happy memories of many trips to Laguna Beach. Will go back there again when the stay at home is over. We used to like to take the kids there for a long weekend.

Hope you are all enjoying another day off! (Ha! Who's cooking?)

Not the same sweater, but similar. $9.35 on sale right now.
