Now, this outfit would NEVER have happened were it not for Angie's blog post and this forum. And I'm pretty happy it did! I do own some OTK boots, but don't look to them for everyday wear. I usually wear them on weekends over leggings or skinnies but thought Angie's suggestion to pair them with a short dress sounded good for today. Figuring out a topper was a bit more challenging.....leather jacket was my first choice, but , ehh , didn't feel cozy enough for today's wind. This plaid boiled wool thing is in the same tone as the dress (blueish black and grey) and was the right length ....scarf to finish is exactly the same shade as the darkest part of the dress, which was a happy surprise. The sweater coat is closer in tone to the dress than the photo would suggest.....and although it may not be perfect, I was surprised at how well I liked it here. Have I pushed my luck with mixing patterns here? Not offended at all if it's looking off to anyone....happy to hear your thoughts!
