If you had black velvet wide leg pants (sort of like flares) would you keep, wear them? If so how would you style them?

I have black velvet flared jeans — I’ll wear them if there are holiday parties this year. Styled with pointy toe heeled boots and maybe a silk shirt or a sparkly knit top.

I would keep all things velvet!!!!! I would wear them with simple crew neck sweaters or tops. Let the richness of the black velvet dominate the outfit.

● Long cardigan
● Cape
● Thick quilted velvet jacket
● Metallic pumps
● Suede pumps or shooties
● Loafers
● Booties
● Silk scarf
● Pearls
● Gold or silver jewellery

Thank your for reminding me of how much I miss a pair of black velvet pants in my wardrobe. Ever since the 70's, I have nearly always had at least one pair of velvet pants (often black) in my wardrobe, but unfortunately none right now ...

I especially like the idea of a silk or lace blouse or shirt....Either matching, or cream, or blush, or even a jewel colour...

for a casual holiday event; i'd wear a white/cream silky tank or camisole with a denim jacket
for a slightly dressier event; black, cream or red cashmere sweater.

If they were tailored and not ‘floppy.’ I have some boot cut velvet trousers that are part of a suit. They have a cuff. If they were swishy palazzo style pants, I’d probably pass... altho I’m getting all sorts of ideas now about how I could wear such pants...

I do, and like this! (Blush lace tank top, silky embroidered bomber, flowy velvet trousers, pewter pointy toe flats.) Picture from last winter.

I would dress them down a bit for casual holiday times...a navy cashmere sweater and navy boots (or any color you want), maybe a denim jacket with a graphic or striped tee under it, fashion sneakers. A newish ( not faded) flannel shirt and chunky booties,
