I was in a rush today and literally had a minute to try only one shoe on, but I think these may be the winners. I had a good feeling just taking them out of the box. Fit seems excellent for a slightly low-volume foot (although they do run a touch small, as reviews said — I sized up and am glad I did). Leather is comfortable and doesn’t seem stiff or like it would be prone to rub. The laces are subtly interesting, as are the zip details. And the toe is slightly tapered and squared off, which I think is fun and distinctive.
ETA photos just with a pair of shorts and a tee - not really styled. And no attention to hair or makeup yet as I’m going to work out after this. I’ll try them on with bootcuts too.
They do have a narrow profile on the foot. Comfort seems to be very good, even without socks.
