Ok, after a lot of thought, I've ordered the sneakers. Had to sit on my hands re the jacket though, despite how perfect it is. It's too season-specific for me and a narrow one at that. I love it, but here is the careful-shopper-Lisa being practical.

These look really excellent on you, Janet. The whole look with the bootcuts and new jacket is just perfect. I’m thinking back to that “how do I even get started with this look?” thread and shaking my head to think there was ever any question! You are already pulling it off effortlessly.

Janet - the shoes could not look better with the jeans, just perfect.

That jacket! I was pretty distracted at how amazing it was to look at the shoes at first.

@LisaP - well done for not buying the jacket if your weather would not allow you to wear the it much, I can see why you were tempted!

Jacket, jeans, and shoes are FAB!!

I’m glad these got such rave reviews here. Thanks!

I’ve seen the Vans on three (mostly young) women in the last few days, so I’m actually glad I didn’t go for those — I always like wearing something a little different from what everyone else is wearing!

Winner winner, chicken dinner! I had a feeling these would be the ones. Nordstrom doesn't seem to inclined to send me the new size of the Ecco sneakers I got from NAS, even though I marked it as an exchange and they assured me it was in the system that way. I may try these out instead if they never materialize.

Janet - I have that reaction to trendy items too. Kind of a contrary reaction.

Me too. The minute I saw another woman my age wearing Vans, I was over the whole look. Into the donate bag they went.

Love them on you!

Love the entire outfit!! The pants and jacket look amazing on you and the shoes.....I love the laces - really gives them some personality! spectacular

Reviving this with a question/concern if anyone checks back in. I tried them on again yesterday, this time with thin socks, and they seem wide on my heels. I’m worried about them rubbing. I added insoles to help tighten up the volume a little (sizing down not an option because they are just long enough in this size), but I’m wondering if anyone has had success with those stick-on heel inserts to help improve heel fit. Thinking about ordering these from Amazon:

High Heel Grip for Women/Men, Heel Sticker for Shose Too Big, Shose Filler Heel Liner for Leather Shoes.6Pieces (Black) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07R.....yDbQFYP18P

Maybe I need to experiment with other socks too. I’m hoping I can make these work!

I've used whatever ones from Dr. Scholls were on the rack at the drug store, and they do work. However, that was to extend the life of a shoe that had stretched from wear. If you need them for shoes out of the box, I'd think twice as I do not find them to be altogether the most comfortable.

Yeah, they didn't seem to slip on my heels when I tried them on barefoot, so I'm wondering if the socks I was wearing were partially to blame (very thin, and kind of slippery). I'm going to try them on with other socks before doing anything else.

I love the jacket on you. It’s kind of futuristic - Blade Runnerish. Perfect for you.

Do try socks with a bit more friction. Add an insole too.

Love these Janet. I have been 'collecting' flatform shoes because they are kind of cool, give me height without a heel and are so comfortable.
It took me while to get used to the more casual almost sneaker shoe with a more dressy outfit but now I love it. Can't wait to see all the ways you will wear these.

I didn't realize this was a new thread... these were my favs too, I hope they work with different socks.

LOVE the jacket. Very Janet.

I love these shoes for you; they seem to easily complement your overall style.

And what an awesome jacket. I may have just added it to my own Finds...

Ok, I found the solution. The shoes worked with 1) heel lifts added in *both* shoes (only 1 thickness in the left foot, which was the one with the looser heel, but 3 thicknesses in the right, which is the side I need elevated to help correct my alignment), 2) insoles added to both shoes, and 3) Stance no-show socks. I wore them out and about on Saturday with the olive Jag shorts and a lightweight white and black windowpane shirt. The shoes were a little stiff at first but felt better and more broken in as the day went on.
