I'm sorry I haven't been active here, but am so devastated by the news I can hardly put words together I have been some reading posts, trying to keep my mind off of it when I can and keep up around here, but just am too overwhelmed to write....I know many of you are going thru tough times also and my heart aches for you too. We don't know how much time he has left, but the tumor is golf-ball size, not interfering with the function yet. He's losing weight rapidly...please hug your loved ones a little longer and tighter than normal

Oh, I'm so sorry! My heart is breaking for you. Give him lots of hugs and snuggles and treats as long as he can enjoy them. I know how hard this is. I will give my doggies an extra cuddle right now. Big hugs to you!

I am sooooo sorry! I know how hard this is, especially when your furry friend has so often been a source of comfort for you as you endure life's storms. It is so hard to know you are going to lose your best friend, but all I can say is give him as much love and cuddles and treats as you can. Enjoy every minute you have with him. Our furry friends are so precious and it is so hard to go through this. ((BIG hugs))

Oh what sad news, I'm so sorry. Are you giving him milk thistle by chance? I take this myself and have for years (we have liver cancer in our family).

You can get it in a liquid "tincture" form or capsules.

It sounds like you are a very wonderful "mom" to him and that is the best thing you can do. He knows you are there for him.

Thank you all so much! I cant tell you how much I appreciate the kind thoughts. I will look into the milk thistle asap. It just feels like a bad nightmare. He had a mast cell tumor removed 3.5 yrs ago, but he's so old now (for a Shar Pei) that the specialist said he'd probably spend the rest of his life just trying to recover from the major surgery
