Birthday dress...help me decide

Hi Everyone! Here's another rare post from me, lol!

I'm having a huge birthday party this Saturday...60! The theme is Paris with everything pink, white and black. I originally thought it was going to be a somewhat casual affair, but my sister took over planning, and it's going to be AMAZING.

I put garden party/Paris chic on the invitation and let everyone know it'll be outside.

Now to the big question...which dress to wear!

Please excuse my lack of lipstick...and I don't have a bra on with either dress. And by the way...these aren't the shoes I'd wear (although I'm not sure what shoes I CAN wear due to plantar fasciitis, maybe flat black Vionic sandals)

#1 is a cheap dress from Amazon...so cute and fits the color scheme so well! I worry it may be a little bit of a costume? My sister and hubby like it, but I'm not sure. I like the dress and it's comfortable (size L) Oh, and I forgot it has a black satin belt...which will definitely help it.

#2 is from White House Black Market and is actually a petite! (I'm 5' 6" but super short from shoulders to waist.) I've always wanted a lemon print dress/print/top...but have never found anything. I really like this dress, but it feels a bit more "Italy" than Paris.

Indecision...I'd love opinions and your vote!

Lemon! You really like it, it's a thing you've always wanted (what better excuse than a milestone birthday!), you are positively glowing when wearing it. I find it more elevated and grown-up than the pink dress.

As for adhering to the theme...well, if you hew *too* closely you risk looking like part of the decorations rather than the guest of honor, iykwim. The lemon dress is perfectly in line with "garden party," anyhow.

Lemons for sure ( but I like the pink one too ). Would be interesting to do both dresses - lemons for the most of the event and change into pink one just for a short while .

That’s a difficult choice. Really hard! I admit I’m the odd one out and lean towards #1 because A) theme(!) and B) feels more special-occasion to me because of that.

I’m with rachey regarding the pink dress for the party. Do your hair in a French seam and black pointy toe flats (or ballerinas). However, you must keep the lemon dress, because it is just so fabulous!

I wondered what was wrong with me until I real Rachy's and Carla's posts. The pink dress is VERY flattering, fits perfectly, and is on-theme. You look smashing in both, but I still lean toward the pink.

I wanted pink and thought I would be alone until I read down. I do dress “costume” though whenever possible- hubby’s 60th 2020 James Bond theme, Bond girl for me, my 60th 2021 Art Deco theme wore outfit with fringing.
So for me it would be more fun to match the colours.
But the lemon dress is stunning and also totally garden party themed. Have fun! Happy birthday!

I like the idea of black ballerinas. I have some AGL's...I'll try them, although in my mind's eye I'm not seeing it. I have some fab Sorel yellow flatforms, but doubt they'll be comfy...they're probably the cause of my PF. Whew, I am with Rachy and the others who said the pink. Not to offend anyone, enough said, BUT I vote the pink.
And the Lemon does look nice. You can't go wrong with either one.
