Big fat gold mistake?

So I was obsessing over these crazy 90s-influenced plat shoes from Tory Burch in black, but found them for SO much cheaper in gold that I couldn't resist. I've padded the insole like crazy and am parading around the office trying not to die. I can't decide if I feel unbearably glam or like an utter idiot. Also, these jeans are too big and falling off my butt and I think they're the wrong color for this ensemble?

And I got my hair cut!

They are great shoes and jeans/ what don't you like about them? If you feel like you are going to die because of the heel height, that is a problem!

I've seen the flat version of this boot at the Rack. I love gold so I think they're awesome. I hope the insoles work because I've found her shoes hard.

AG, I have TWO insoles on the ball of my foot. Just in case.

MG, just not used to heels this high! They're chunky so I'm giving them a shot. It's fun to feel tall.

I think they're gorgeous and if you can walk in them comfortably, I'd keep them. Your hair looks great BTW!

I think the gold heels are a terrible mistake, horrifying really, but being the self sacrificing individual that I am, I'm perfectly willing to take them off your hands (feet), thus remedying the horrifying situation you've found yourself in - you're about a size 8, right? No need to thank me, saintly goodness is just my nature.

Alas, the booties are gorgeous, but if you feel like you're about to die in them, then maybe they'd serve you better as an evening/sit down shoe: house to car to restaurant to car to house - happy feet in awesome shoes.

ETA: If you have non-fussy feet, you really can (with house prancing practice) become comfortable in higher heels.

Also the gold/cobalt/white colour combo is a good one with the bonus of being unexpected.

Hair looks great. I had to smile when I saw those boots. Can you breathe at those heights? Silver would be more predictable with cobalt, but gold looks great to me. Thank goodness the hems on your pants aren't dragging; one false step and you would be giving the office guys a show! If your back, knees, and feet are reasonably okay by the end of the day, keep those boots! In the meantime, I hope you don't have a fire drill or real fire for that matter.

Usually I find that the more I practice walking in higher heels, the better I get. They might feel more comfortable after a day or two of walking in them. I think they look good with the blue pants. I like blue and yellow together and gold is in the same color family.

Wow, those are wild! I'll be honest though, I am a little concerned that the black version will have more longevity and be easier to combine.

I had to go home and change my pants. They look tight but the top was falling off my butt. I actually flashed a co-worker my less than sexy cotton panties. So now I am wearing similar pants, only dark.

eBay is about to get almost all of my trousers. I guess it means it'll pay for these boots.

The boots look great! If you don't think you will wear them due to comfort that is another matter.

First of all, the boots are HOT! Love 'em. And I like the color combo in the outfit.

Can't you get the jeans taken in at the waist/butt? It looks like they fit you well in the thigh, and the length is nice. I wore my houndstooth skinnies yesterday and they drove me nuts falling down my behind, so I know I need to have them altered.

Nothing wrong with having sitting shoes. They are gorgeous but I have two questions: Are you able to walk normally on these guys? I have never seen you in such a high heel and those are not easy to walk on. There is nothing more ridiculous than a woman on a pair of heels they cannot walk on. If you are walking funny, it is a sell. The second is if you are planning to wear these with bootcuts only. In all honestly, a great majority of boots would look awesome with bootcuts, flares or straight legs. There is no real benefit in having these if they are being covered by the pants. I would personally sell now when they are still new, unless there is a strong reason to keep and you are actually going to wear them so they can be seen. Just my .50
