Hey again - and thanks to everyone that weighed in on my last crop of big black bags! (http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....is-fabbest)

I've narrowed things down a bit and found one more to add to the mix. Would you lend me your stylish eyes again? (ETA - removed #4, Def like the first 3 better)

Here are the contenders, with my notes if you feel like reading;
1. Milly Colby Tote
Pros: I like the style and silver hardware, bag is available from Revolve.com with free shipping and returns to Canada
Cons: Size is reported differently depending where you look, so it might be too small :S
2. DKNY Saffiano Satchel
Pros: Perfect size, love the shape
Cons: Not sure about the logo plaque/gold hardware, I prefer silver
3. Kate Spade Beau
Pros: The shape and size are perfect; I really like the bow details and zipper pull; and the metal feet
Cons: I wonder if the style is so recognizable that it will soon be dated

I like the first one, but I'm partial to the silver. I've actually been tearing my hair out trying to find a bag that works for everyday use that's black with silver hardware. The fourth one looks a lot more casual to my eye, which I don't particularly like.

My vote would be number 2 and number 3 follows very closely. If you are looking for a matte finish then 2 is your best bet. I really like 3 and the bow makes it special, not just another black bag, I don't think in a way that would date it though. I guess it depends on what you want to use it for and for how long you expect it to last.

I am really opposed to labels on bags which cuts down the options greatly but if I had to choose it would be 2 ( and I would take off the disk lol)

I don't think you can go wrong with any of them; I like them all.

As for the KS bag being dated, I don't know that that would happen. I think the issue with that one is more subjective: will you get tired of the design after a while? If it were me and I didn't think I'd tire of the design, I would probably buy it because the design is so distinctive and makes the bag special.

#2 and #3 get my vote. I like #2 the best of all. Don't like the last one because it feels too fussy.

I still love #2 the most. In fact, I'm saving it as a serious contender to fill the slot in my closet for a black handbag

I like #2 the best, although I share your preference for silver. I have this thing about seeing "faces" on bags and I see it on the first one. That probably sounds weird and I don't think I notice it IRL, just in photos. I'm not a bow girl so 3 wouldn't be my pick but I do like the shape.

#2. Such a classic shape. Ditch the chain thingy. Hopefully the logo is on one side only - in any case it's not in your face like an MK logo.

I prefer #2, the DKNY satchel. Saffiano leather is really practical. I also prefer silver hardware, but there's not much metal here after you remove the chain. I'm seriously considering this bag for myself, but will check it out in person before making a final decision.

I vote 3. I have to admit this bag is on my wish list so I am partial to it.

Thanks all for weighing in! I think it is down to #2 or 3 now, but I still am having a hard time deciding!

@Catnip, do you know when you'll be checking out the DKNY in person? I would have to order online as it is not available near me. Let me know what you think?
