BF jeans came . . . and are going back :(

The TR Cameron's in 26 came today. They're okay, but I don't love them by any means. I think the rise is too short on me. Makes a weird buckle in the rear and does not allow for any crotch drop. And so the bagginess in the thigh just looks like wide legs IMO. I liked the 25's better honestly (pics 5 & 6). Sigh.

I agree, buckle is weird, though you are cute. 25s are better.

I love them from the front, hate them from the back-- the buckle is weird. Plus, I am not a huge fan of the TRs with the horseshoe back flap pockets. Most men don't wear flap pockets, so I think it is a weird look for BF jeans and is only going to add to any butt weirdless from baggy pants. Plus, around here they are kind of synonymous with bro ho's with the two tone skunk hair, so it could be a poisoned eye.

You will find your BF jeans-- I do think this is one place where premium denim might not be worth it-- bagging out isn't a concern. Have you thought to try any of the more "juniors" brands of BF jeans from places like Alloy? I had a pair about 5 years ago from their that were awesome, and very flattering while still looking like BF jeans. Normally I wouldn't suggest it, but with your figure I think you could pull a pair off without it looking like you went shopping for baby tees with unicorns on them.

Oh, too bad! They have an awful lot of detail for BF jeans, don't they? The material looks really stiff too.

I don't own the Gap SBF's but I did try them on. The calves are much slimmer and the material is thinner and soft so they hang less stiffly than these do.

yeah, I had high hopes too. Drat. Maybe because I'm in the midst of fighting a cold - I feel like it's time to give up on the search for now.
Claire, I might look into the Gap ones, but I think I found the back pockets squarish and not very booty friendly if I remember. I wish I had my old ex BF's Levi's from the early 90's that fit me great in a perfectly loose way.

Have you tried actual boy jeans from American Eagle or PacSun? I think they would look something like: http://qwear.tumblr.com/post/3.....s-jean-sag since you mentioned you wanted a skinnier leg.

Had the same thought as Laura B --- could it help to actually look for a men's pair from Levi's (since you already know it works for your body)?

Also agree with Claire that softness is a prerequisite of BFs that work --- they have to be 'worn' in order to slouch nicely.

Hey Mo, I searched for this thread to see what happened. Sorry they didn't work out! The buckle looks like a flaw, I haven't noticed this on any of my pairs.

Elly's comment on TRs -- whoa -- didn't realize jeans and back pockets could say so much about a person. I sure hope I don't come off as a "bro ho with two-toned skunk hair!" Lol!

yeah, made me sad after all the trying and searching I just had to let it go for a while.
Funny thing, the BF keeps talking about an Audi S5 dream car and my catch word for months has been BF jeans, so when he says his, I say mine, and vice versa. It's pretty funny by now.
