Bending the rules!

I bought this blouse last year, it's tottally wrong for my body type: High neckline, folds on the bust and no waist definition.
I don't know what attracted this busty hourglass, maybe the small palka dots eh eh but I love it! It's perfect for the weekend and I think it fits me well!
Please notice that I'm also wearing white skinnies I'm proud of myself!

Yes for the blouse and white skinnies, too! I don't see why couldn't you sport that (blouse) especially if you like it! Great colour, BTW!(sorry but the polkas cannot be seen very well on my monitor:-(but I can imagine!)

I can see why you like the detail on the neckline. i'm not sure I'm in love with the outfit because there is no definition of your waist but if that's what you are going for. The color is pretty though.

You look like a model. Stunning! The white skinnies look great on you as does the rule-bending blouse. The pattern mixing of your bag with your wallpaper is an extra bit of fun. Rute, I know that you are height-challenged, and marvel at how you can pull off a variety of silhouettes so well. Maybe you can give lessons.

I get what you say. Hourglassy myself, that's not the sort of blouse I would buy and certainly not your best top. However, the outfit looks beautiful anyways thanks to the subtle similar tones (shoes and bag AND the blouse.. wow). Also, while understand your issues with the top, I don't see why you can't wear white skinnies.

Rules are meant to be broken! I think a waist surrending tunic with skinnies is perfect and the color and print are so fun. Wear it and enjoy!

That's a lovely and sophisticated weekend outfit, Rute! Be assured that your beautiful waist was probably visible when you moved around. I saw a video of MrsEccentric (Steph) made on her website. Even though she was wearing a top that obscured her waist, as she walked, it flowed and you could see her curves. She was demonstrating the difference between a still photo and real life. Interesting!
