After a couple days of trying to take the bombshell factor out of a pencil skirt, I was really craving something glam and my style pendulum swung full on back into bombshell territory when I remixed a more layered version of the last outfit here.
I paired the same leopard print pussycat-bow blouse with the black midi length circle skirt, but left the blouse untucked; instead, I layered a black structured waistcoat over it, only buttoning a couple buttons. This time I paired it with my orange ECCO pumps. (I'm starting to wonder if my subconscious is preparing for Halloween too soon?)
Inspired by Karen's first summer outfit, which also featured animal print, I layered my denim jacket on top and scrunched/folded the sleeves to show off my white watch. (While the day warmed up considerably in the afternoon, it was a little chilly in the morning so I was happy to have an extra layer.)
Since I had some extra time to kill and my eyes weren't itchy the way they have been so often in the past few months, I applied makeup a bit more heavily than I usually do for day wear: shimmery dark brown shadow, espresso-colored pencil liner swept into a smudged cat eye, dark brown mascara, bright red lipstick (MAC in "Ladybug.") It was rather fun to embrace a slightly more dramatic persona for a day.
