Autumn working week - YouLookFab Forum

The Perth weather has cooled down and we are now in our winter weather. I say that with a touch of caution, because Australian winters are very mild from a northern hemisphere experience. Needless to say, it is raining and below 20 degrees celsius, therefore, this is winter for me.

My WIW's are some work looks and the final picture is from the weekend (so typical jeans look):
1. Little black dress - this is a ponte dress that is very comfortable and easy to wear (picture 1).
2. Floral dress with matching scarf. I would normally not buy a matching scarf, but due to Angie's and Tanya's good influence, when I saw the scarf, I though it would be great to have for a more layered look. I really enjoyed wearing the dress on its own (picture 3) and also layered with a navy jacket (pictures 2 & 3). The best thing about this dress is that it is so easy to hand wash and it dries on the hanger - no ironing required.
3. Peacoat, skirt and blouse, and then the skirt and blouse on its own. I really like this shade of blue (pictures 4 & 5).
4. Knit dress (also worn to a work dinner) and with a red jacket. This is the most comfy dress and I love how it has a gingham pattern. (pictures 6 & 7)
5. Cream sweater with a teal velvet skirt (pictures 8 & 9).
6. Blue peplum dress and worn with a black jacket. I don't have any other peplum dresses, but loved the colour of this and always feel rather fab wearing this one, as I like to think that I am channeling the gorgeous Ledonna who wears a peplum better than anyone.(pictures 10 & 11)
7. Keeping it real - on the weekend walking Bijou. Of course her fur coat is the best! (picture 12)

All beautiful outfits! You look fab and stylish all the time. My favorite of course is nr. 12 ... After a crazily cold and rainy first half of May we are finally going towards warm weather here in Italy. Late Spring /Summer is my favorite season!

These are all so good, Bijou, and your WIW posts are always a treat! You rock the dress with booties look like it's nobody's business, my word, and your frock collection is so good:-)
All the outfits are beautiful, and I'm especially loving 2 (with and without the jacket). I love the romantic vibe and then the tougher accent with the light-coloured booties. Matching scarf is fab (Tanya and Angie are wise ladies!-)
The blue of that blouse is beautiful on you, and what a wonderful skirt. The gingham patterned dress looks amazing too, what a stunning piece. Super fun with your red coat.
Teal velvet, how wonderful is that!-) Lovely with the tucked in jumper and necklace.
You and Ledonna are the Queens of Peplum for sure. And this is another gorgeous dress, Bijou. Love how you paired it with the cut-out booties here too.

Sisi - yes I agree, my dog is definitely the standout!

Angie - so glad you like the matching scarf and dress, as getting this was inspired by your recent JCrew scarf and top purchase. I do have white boots, so will definitely wear them with this combination, they are also fun with the gingham dress.

Juniper Green - I love coloured velvet too.

Inge - thank you for your lovely comments. I think a dress and boots is kind of a default uniform for me. It is funny that I never really thought about it too much, until seeing the WIW photos. I do live in my jeans on the weekend.

All I can say is WOW! I love the Witchery dress with the matching scarf and the jacket. Beautiful pattern and the colours are perfect for you. That's my favourite. Although the teal velvet skirt (sigh!) is a close second. Oh, and the A-line check skirt. Lovely with the cream sweater. Again, great with your colouring.

I would also like to see the dress with your white booties, as Angie suggests.

And Bijou is a total cutie.

The thing that strikes me is how polished you are, even in your dog walking outfit!

Wonderful round - my favorites are the floral dress and peplum dress but these are all excellent.

Angie next time I promise to wear that dress with my white boots!

Brooklyn, you are so lovely. I am glad that the skirts get your vote of approval. I have tried some Portman skirts myself and unfortunately I am between sizes. Luckily Cue and Witchery work for me, although I would prefer if their skirts were a bit longer.

Smittie it is funny how I just never seem to be able to do RATE. I remember Suze said something similar, that whatever she wore it always tended to skew to looking dressy. in my exercise gear I look anything but polished.

Shevia, so glad you like the dresses. I have often tended to wear more conservative darker colours, so it is great to see these two being your favourites.

A great week. My personal favourites are 1, the dress with the peplum and your weekend casual look. I love the peplum dress on you, it really is a great shape. But the swingier dress is also fun and flattering too.

Angie & Inge - I am happy with my uniform, it provides enough variety for me and yet makes getting dressed each day easy. I am glad that I expanded my uniform a little with the addition of the floral dress.
Suz - I am a fellow blue lover, so the cobalt dress was always going to be good for me. Glad you like the other dresses too.
Scarlett - thanks for the feedback. I am glad that you like the floral dress layered too, I wasn't too sure if the military jacket was going to be a bit too much going on.
Sal - thanks for your comments. Yes - the black dress was finally a favourite! I was lucky that the peplum dress fitted so well, as usually those sort of dresses need some sort of alteration to fit.
