August Challenge Wk 3: Soft Pants

Week 3 of my August challenge continues featuring soft pants from my summer hot weather closet. These are casual outfits. The first 2 were inspired by Angie's olive/orange/white ensemble. There may be a summer ensemble in these colors lurking in my summer closet after all.
1: EF olive crepe pants rolled with cream Express top and Bandalino leopard pumps. I later changed into leopard flats for an El Salvadorian breakfast and the Farmers Market. Orange bag is from Target.
2: same pants with orange graphic tee and white denim jacket.
3: very casual EF grey crepe pants rolled with EF citron linen top. Great for a really hot day.
4: later on the same day, the same EF pants with a Classiques Entiere silk top and EF white vest to go out.
5: EF Blush and white linen pants
6: Citron brand black silk crinkle pants with Classiques Entiere blue silk top.
7: striped rash guard and EF navy crepe pants. Comfortable but the outfit felt very predictable and ordinary.
8: Jolie black silk track pants with CE plum silk top.
9: same pants with EF black silk tank and pale blue cardigan for a/c. Too mumsy?
I appreciate your comments and styling ideas. Everything was styled for comfort but I'd like to know what you think works or doesn't.

I think all of these outfits look fine. I will say that #3 is casual in the extreme - it almost looks like a gym outfit. Maybe that outfit would look a bit less casual if you added some accessories. Or maybe it just works for your life just like that.

Outfits 1 and 8 are my favorite. Drapery tops look fantastic on you! I think 3 and 6 are the most casual. They look fine but don't pop the way the others do. I could see that orange bag working well with 4 and 7 to add a splash of color if you were so inclined. And nine isn't my favorite just because you have the most volume from both the pants and the sweater in the same area.

Kirstenjen, you have a good eye. I did wear #3 to work out and clean bedrooms, which is why I needed to morph to #4.

Once again, your outfits are so stellar that I am hard pressed to pick just one or two. But I am still going to try.

Numbers 1 and 2: those pants look amazing on you. The fit of the pants! The perfect proportions of the tops with those pants. Wow.

Number 5: the colors are so perfectly spring/summer. You look fresh and clean. Clean is a compliment in my book.

Number 6: cobalt. Gorgeous.

Number 8: may be my favorite. No real reason. I just like think it looks so elegant.

Wow!!! I have a pair of EF silk trousers that have puzzled me, so I'm taking notes here. You look so stunning in this style (and I loved seeing you without the sunnies!). I agree with you that 7 is a bit more run-of-the-mill than your usual look, and something about the combination in 9 (I think the cardigan length?) isn't working as well as the others, but overall you look so stylish & summer-appropriate!

Just quickly chiming in! Love 1 4 and 8. 4 has shown me the point of a vest which I have struggled with! It looks amazing.

9 - a different jacket might lift it, either shorter or longer.

Suz, that top in 8 is a favorite that I duplicated in citron green. The V-neck is deep but narrow. These tops are in their 3rd or 4th summer and I hope that they never wear out.
Coco, that white denim jean jacket is in rotation nearly year round and gets much much more wear than my white blazer.
Kiwigal, vests for summer make a great third piece. The vest in the photo is beginning to show its wear. Good idea to try a jacket of a different length with 9.
Shevia, thank you for commenting. I was a slow adapter of ankle straps, thinking they would shorten visually. These DV's were probably my first pair and I love them.
Thank you, Cheryle. One doesn't feel their real age (unless there are health problems) . That makes dressing appropriately a challenge. I'm so happy to be able to get honest feedback on YLF.
Thank you, E. Are your EF silk trousers wide legs? I thought I had a photo of a pair of wide dark brown ones that I also wore this week. I like silk trousers best with silky tops.

Sterling, your favorites all felt good in the wearing. 6 hasn't gotten much mention. I wore it for a hot casual day and it felt cool and even slenderizing. Maybe the cobalt top needs to be worn with the track pants in 8 or with a third piece.
For the last week in August I'm thinking of wearing dresses, skirts, and soft pants that did not make it into their week. Any other suggestions?

Each of these outfits is very stylish and flattering. I especially like #1, 2, 5, 8. You wear taperedhem/joggers very well. On your petite frame in reigns in the volume while keeping it fluid and stylish.

Thank you, Kerry. One lesson from this week was that I need soft pants to slim at the ankle. Even straight cuts can look too wide unless pegged and rolled.
