My August Challenge - Skirt #2

I so appreciate the honest input I received on my post
yesterday. It really helps me to hear what you lovely fabbers think and just
going through these steps to post and ponder is so beneficial.

Today's skirt is a bright/soft pink and black print skirt
with an interesting hem line. I think I can only pair it with black tops? It fits
well, is comfy and I like its drape. What do you think? And any other styling
ideas?

I'm sure you can wear the skirt with a white top too. Nice skirt.

The top looks a bit long, Donna. Can you tuck it in?

Thanks Angie! I just tried it with a white top and white shoes and liked that too! The waist of the skirt is elastic and I'm struggling with how to tuck it in.

That skirt is lovely on you; you are so pretty! I see what Angie means on top length. You look like you might be long waisted (Or is that just the camera angle?). If you are, being a long waisted person myself, I find I have to be careful with top proportions--something I only noticed/realised after taking outfit pics!

Cute skirt, it actually looks like culottes in this picture. With an elastic waist, I tuck by pulling the top out evenly so it's got a loose look, but still neat and covering the elastic. Or, I semi tuck. I do think that untucked, the top throws off your proportions, making your torso look longer than it is.

Very pretty. Although a shorter top or this top bloused up might be ideal, you look great right here. Agree that white is definitely an option.

So here I am trying the skirt with shorter tops and a vest.

Oh and also please disregard demo'd bathroom. It's a work in progress.

Thank you Angie! I'm learning. I think I'm so used to tops being short on me because I'm tall on top that I gravitate towards longer for comfort and don't notice its effect until it's pointed out.

Love that skirt! It's fabulous with the shorter tops. Now that you've got the proportions right, can we talk about those fab shoes in the original look?! I love them! Your outfit is easy breezy and pretty....I'd wear it in a heartbeat!
